California’s push to lead U.S. sales of electric cars may result in higher power rates for consumers in the state, as a growing number of rechargeable vehicles forces utilities to pay for grid upgrades.

“It’s amazing what people can do to make the world a better place. Though, I have to say, this wouldn’t have had happened if we were more cautious about our environment (debatable as it may be), it’s still nice to know that alternative sources of fuel are being more of a trend.”

I think that state rebates and federal tax credits are enough to motivate the people into resorting to green energy- but overall, it should be the fear of being engulfed with thousands of liters of water that should motivate us into resorting to cleaner energy.
